Top News of the Day:
June 10, 2011 - Apart from an increase in turbulence in the solar wind late yesterday, little was seen at ACE from the dramatic flare/CME of June 7. Consider the coast being now clear, and await the next piece of the space weather intrigue to be doled out by our nearest star.

CME from JUNE- 07:

Values exceeded 100 nT at 12:00 UTC. peak value: 130 nT ( 15:00- 21:00 UTC)

NOAA impact time ( = beging of fluctuations):08: 11 UTC

the impact of the CME led to intensive of fluctuations (- 30 nT) on the geomagnetic field on June- 11 ( GOES)

moderate ( G2)

NASA siad, the CME is part of a large Sun storm with Class M flares, emitting steady huge amounts of Sun plasma as sunwind into space.

The CME matter can cause short circuits even in power grids with subsequent overvoltages. This has in the past already repeatedly damaged the electric installations in nuclear power station with the consequence of a serious situtatinn and the worst case of a meltdowen

G1 level

( NOAA- June 07 )

differently to solen.info,NOAA assumes, the strong and fast CME observed on June- 07 after a M flare would not or just very partially strike the Earth and put the coming incident only on a minor G1 alert.

Since CMEs can both: change their speed and direction this forecast mustat least be suspected to by unsure.

My Earthquake alert level remain therefore at 2-3
