last update on significant changes:

important UPDATE- June 2010:

The strength of the many small earthquakes in California is increasing: while the usual avarage magnitude was yet never higher than 2.9, it increased during the last wave of sun particles ( between June 14- June 17) up to 4.9!

Towards the autumn equanox ( resp around Sept 20th) the earthquake strength will rise and reach its annular peak! This year at least one or two major catastrophies should be expected expecially during this time!! Also , volcanoes in Iceland most likely might have another greater unrest ar ound Sept. 20th

update: Juli- 31:

SEISMIC ACTIVITIES IN THE REGION OF THE CANARIES ( SPAIN)

This will be a new article. If you stay on the Canaries and want to latest news, just log on to ( link:) EMSC , where you can get the most recent Earth quake data for Europe and the world:

- Some new reports indicate a beginning seismic activity on the Canary Islands . In my map ( right side) you find all seismic activities as registered in 2010 by CSME.The activity seems to have began in the time when the hard earthquake with 7.1. hit in Haiti in January 2010, which was the first of its kind since decades ( or hundreds of years?) .The activity of the Carribean plate which caused that earthquake in Haiti might have been triggerd by amovement of the African plate. That refers to the discovery , that early in 2010-earthquak activity has first time shifted towards the East with activities even growing inside Europe. I will continue research on that. I am watching the developments and try to inform you about significancies.

The Canary islands ( mainly Lanzerote, Fuerteventura and La Palma) are particularly volcanic active. El Pico del Teide is the highest volcano in Europe but almost - but not generally- inactive. The Earthquakes measurerd in 2010 occured all around the Canaries. On different places onshore and offshore . The activity is with currently not more than 3.0 magnitudes rather low. But earthquakes and volcano activities in the Atlantis are know as very sudden and strong at low magnitudes. .The activity might be- as seen by Geologists- in general be a sign for beginning/increasing new volcanic activities on the Canaries , but also for some stronger Earthquake at any time

Seismic activities in the Atlantic region are not as usual, as they are in the Western Pacific. They are rather very seldom, but also known as quite sudden, long lasting and extremely heavy events, if they occure. As t he last known recorded quake there, an Earthquake hit 1960 the Marrocean city of Agadir, and leveled the entire city within not more than 1 Minute to the ground . Agadir itself is located on the African continent/plate some 70 miles distance from the Canaries. But- as far as known ,the Canaries stayed rather untouched by that. The quake in Haiti this year was caused by the Carribean plate subducting the South America plate. Possibly it was pushed forward by the movement of the African plate

statistically most active earth quake regions ( general situation in 2010)

PRIMARY:(1) Western randoms of Pacific ring of fire- Central America into Northern America ( California)

PRIMARY (2) Eastern randoms of the Eurasian continental plate to the Indo/ Australian plate and Pacific plate

GENERAL: AMERICAN CONTINENTS: With begin of 2010, the major Earth quake activity (which was more than 10 years rather around the "Pacific ring of fire"- mainly on the Western edges like before Sumatra), suddenly has shifted towards the East: The sudden and hard earthquake in Haiti on Jan- 12 was the first of its kind in the Atlantic since 5 decades. The worldwide most active seismic region was since then at the edges of the ring of fire and Nasca plate to South America with remarkable effects also to the western Coast of North America. Geologists also expect a kind of "mega quake" in the Cascadia suduction zone along the San Andreas fault at any time.

EURASIAN CONTINENT: also around Europe the seismic activity has increased since begin of 2010 ( which was never registered before!): At the edges to the Artic plate- (>Iceland) as well as to the Southern African plate.

ABOUT: the eruptions of volcanoes in iceland are connected to movements of the North American and the Eurasian tectonic plates, along the so called "mid atlantic ridge". It must strongly be assumed, that the current tectonic activities are possibly related to the retreat ( displacement) oftheicemassesinthepolar regions.

Differently to other volcanic regions, the plates don`t collide there but drift apart from each other. Most parts of the Atlantic ridge are under water, which holds the activity underseas under pressure . In this system, Iceland is one of the few valves, where the activity gets to the surface by volcano chimneys. This is the reason, why this volcano system eruptsnot only once or twice ( as volcanos do ingeologic faults , but can remain active for longer periods. Its activity depends on the the activities of the 2 continental plates. This year,in Haiti , the first real activity was measured in the Atlantic region since 60 -50 years- ( as the plates drift apart, the region is normally almost calm since thousands of years!). This new activity on the Atlantic ridge is therefore an new experience, noone in Europe seems to have been really prepared for, nor even able to realize all its circumstances ( alien-homepage.de- 20-4-2010)

how to read the tables / Zeichenerklärungen

The graphics in the upper row :

"earthquakes":

>The upper row contains columns of red or grey color . These indicate the highest measured strength / Amplitude) earthquake of that single day. The red columns indicate the stronger, singificant earthquakes above 6.0 ( Richter scale) . If there are more than one above 6.0. on that single day, the second strength is indicated in yellow, a third above 6.0 in green and a fourth one in blue color. The grey columns appear, if the highest measured earthquake on that day was below the strength of 6.0 but above 2.9.

> the numbers on these columns indicate the number of all world wide measured and resgistered earthquakes above 2.9 on that single day. Data base is from USGS.us.gov. ( links on to of ths page)

on the bottom of the upper graphic you will find the sideric course of the moon, including its nodes, phases, soltices and eclipses.

The graphics in the row below:

"planet constellations"

The row below contains all significant data about the nine planets and the sun such as their sideric constellation or . In the horizontal rows you find the constellations of all planets, resp their the element of region they stand, resp stood.in on that single day/ month/ year. The names of the constellation in integrated on that place in the row , when that particular planet changes into the next region , f. i., from Leo into Virgo.

RELATION SUN ACTIVITY AND EARTHQUAKES ( resp.Volcano activities)

Many had the idea, there could be a relation of Earthquakes to the sun`s activity. As the suns spots are an indicator for the SUN`s activity, I have added a GREEN CURVE of the suns spots to the daily earthquake map>The reason:, On begin of APRIL, a greater Sun- protuberance caused an immense Sun wind, carrying particles to the earth.

Two days after there was a large earth quake in Baja California, and each day after more than 400 quakes above 2.9 were registered worldwide!

First evaluations show, that Earthquakes do not directly happen synchroniously with sun spots or eruptions, but always 2 days later, when usually the particle winds of those "CME" s hit the earth. They therefore must be considered as the energy source which at least amplifies the earth quake energy or even triggers the quakes. >>

the green curve displays the number of so called sun spots. ( index number left times 10>> 3,5 times 10 = 30 measured sun spots). Sun Spots are areas with higher gravity of fusion processes inside the sun , those rise up to the sun surface during periods of higher Sun activity. Along the magnetic field lines are bundled and reversed, what causes huge sun eruption ( coronal mass ejections= CME). The Sun activity ranges in a regular period of 11 years. The next " sun spot maximum will be in 2012. High energetic particles of those CMEs escape the Sun`s immense gravity and drive as sun winds also towards the Earth, where they can have many effects, such as the amplify Earth quakes. Typically, each sun spot causes forms out a more or less strong CME ( coronal mass ejection) or a protuberance ( sun flare)

the blue curve represents s the so called " planetary A index. It represents the total of irritations in the Earth`s magnetic field , caused by those sun winds ( energetic mass particles) those effectively reach the Earth . A add this " Planetary a Index from Middle of April on, as it indicates more precisely, which sun winds reach the Earth and which pread from the S in other directions. to see what has more impact on the earth- the gravity distortions on the sun ( the sun spots) or the particle winds?

An with three month of comparation, I would say: The gravity process ( when the sun spots form out and get visible ) seem to be two days earlier than the earthquakes. Therefore- if this will turn out to be equally in a longer evaulations, sun spots could become a very good indicator and therefor the best tool to predict Earth quakes- The earthquake seem to take place regularly about 2 days after the sun spots ( sun eruptions ) , resp. , when the sun winds of the CME ( very energetic particles) reach the earth. These particles winds impacting on the Earth must not generally or neccessarely be regarded as a trigger to any earth quakes, but they seem to have the capability to trigger, but- at least, to amplify Earth quakes .Unfortunately I have no data now from years with less sun spot activities. The Tsunami 2004 happened in a year with decreasing activity. Longer evaluations will show what evidence there is.
